Srinagar: The Dream World Educational Institute (DWEI) at Allachizab, one of the largest and reputed schools in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday celebrated its 13th Annual Day function with enthusiasm as hundreds of people including parents, current and former students of the institution attended the function.
Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA) chairman G N Var was the chief guest at the occasion. Besides Var, a galaxy of dignitaries graced the occasion as guests of honor
Var in his speech highlighted the role of private schools in uplifting the standards of education in the region. He appealed to parents to cooperate with the school administrations so that the education of the students is not compromised at any cost.
During the function school’s achievements, innovative practices, actions, and results in over a decade of its operation were highlighted. It was also read out during the ceremony that the institution has given 22 students who are pursuing MBBS and Engineering in different institutes in the country and across.
During the function, several cultural programs were performed exclusively by the students of the institution under the guidance of their teachers. The function included a series of thematic performances ranging from devotion to family values, patriotism, unity in diversity, parental love, social issues, and many more.
The speeches and performances were followed by an award ceremony to felicitate students for their performance in academics and performances during the event. Moreover, awards were given to several teachers, parents for their positive role in shaping the career of the students/children.
A vote of thanks was read out before concluding the program by the chairman of the institution Dr. Nazir Ahmad Mir. He thanked all the participants for attending the program. He vowed that the institution will leave no stone unturned to uplift the standard of education in the border district Kupwara. He said that the school was planning to cater to the left out areas in the upcoming academic session
