Handwara: Stray dogs have created havoc in Audoora village of North Kashmir’s Handwara town.
Locals said that stray dogs roaming in every nook and cranny of the village have created fear psychosis among local population. They said these dogs are now attacking cattle as well.
A local from the village told news agency KNT that a pack of stray dogs attacked a youth leaving him in a pool of blood. He identified the victim as Ajaz Ahmed Tali, son of Sarpanch Audoora village Ghulam Rasool.
“Ajaz was rushed to Qalamabad hospital wherefrom he was shifted to District Hospital Handwara. He has received a number of stitches,” said a local adding that over 6 cattle were also wounded by dogs.
The locals appealed local Municipal Committee to take measures in the containing the population of rabid dogs. (KNT)
