Srinagar : Rejecting the assertions of former RAW Chief AS Dulat that there should be dialogue between Srinagar and Delhi only, Awami National Conference senior vice president Muzafar Shah Saturday said that dialogue between India and Pakistan is the need of the hour to end the 70-year-old imbroglio over Kashmir.

“Kashmir is a nuclear flashpoint. There has always been the threat of war looming over Kashmir. It’s not Pakistan only, now China has entered into the fray. The solution to Kashmir problem lies in a peaceful dialogue,” Shah told reporters in Srinagar.

He said he welcomes the statement of AS Dulat that there should be dialogue but at the same time he disagrees that dialogue should be only with Srinagar and New Delhi.

“So much blood has shed and now it is imperative to start a dialogue with Pakistan to end the crisis,” Shah said.

In response to a question, Shah said BJP always played politics over Kashmir. “This party destroyed Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. (KNT)
