Srinagar :Continuing with welfare efforts and to provide assistance to their families in need, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned Special Welfare Relief of Rs.1.60 Crore in favour of dependents, legal heirs of 12 officers and officials.
“Rupees 20 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of NoKs/legal heirs of SI Mohd. Ramzan, ASI Gh. Nabi Sheikh, ASI Mohd. Ramzan, ASI Abdul Rashid, ASI Nazir Ahmad Sofi, ASI Gh. Mohd., HC Ab. Majeed, HC Zanood Hussain, HC Bilal Ahmad, HC Suresh Kumar, SgCt. Gagan Singh and SgCt. Asif Iqbal Ahmad under different PHQ orders,” a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said.
It added that this Special Welfare Relief has been sanctioned for the legal heirs of police personnel/NoKs out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
Pertinent to mention here that during this year Rs.23.64 Crore Special Welfare Relief has been sanctioned for legal heirs of 119 Police personnel—(KNO)
