Poonch, Feb 08 : Terming the proposed decisions by the Delimitation Commission as devoid of ground situation, topography and public aspirations, a strong protest was held at Mandi tehsil headquarter in Poonch district by the people against the Commission’s recommendations made in its second draft report.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), BDC Chairman Mandi, Shamim Ahmed Ganai, Former Legislator SM Tantray and others took part in protest rally that was organised in Mandi town in which number of people from different villages of area and leaders affiliated with different political parties participate.
The protesters termed the proposed decisions by the delimitation commission as “unacceptable and devoid of ground realities and situation.”
They demanded immediate roll back of draft proposal and appealed Election Commission to start the exercise in a fresh level and to examine ground positions properly—(KNO)
