Leh : The Ladakh Union Territory has recorded fresh 85 cases of Coronavirus on Tuesday, officials said.
As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), twenty people of Leh and sixty five people of Kargil district were tested positive for COVID-19 in UT Ladakh. While one COVID patient from COVID hospital Leh and 11 patients in home isolation were discharged today from Leh district, after their negative report was received by the Health department Leh yesterday.
With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 783; 161 in Leh district and 622 in Kargil district.
The bulletin informed that the Health department Leh received 379 sample reports from NCDC New Delhi. Out of the total sample reports, 20 positive and 06 negative reports are of Leh district and 65 positive sample reports and 129 negative reports are of Kargil district. The sample reports of 159 COVID patients already admitted in COVID Hospital Kargil are again repeat positive for COVID-19
Today Health department Leh also received 24 sample reports of Leh district from PGIMER Chandigarh. Out of the total sample reports, 23 sample reports are negative and one sample needs retesting.77 more samples of Leh district were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing today.
Similarly, the bulletin further informed that out of the total 161 active cases in Leh, 10 positive patients are admitted in COVID hospital while 151 positive cases are in home isolation. Of the total 622 active cases in Kargil district, 54 positive patients are admitted in COVID hospital, 448 positive cases are in home isolation while 120 positive patients are in COVID Care Centre (CCC). It also informs that till date 148 numbers of patients in both Leh and Kargil districts were cured and discharged from the COVID hospitals.
The bulletin further informed that the condition of all 783 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable. There are 161 active cases in Leh district and 622 active cases in Kargil district.
30 passengers and 226 drivers and helpers of 161 trucks/tankers and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitised.
The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 114 passengers yesterday, including drivers and helpers who came to Leh in 54 tankers, 19 trucks and 10 light vehicles –(KNO)
