Srinagar reports lowest ever cases at 84, case tally at 315,298, death toll mounts to 4,316, active cases decrease to 4,805, recovery rate at 97.10 percent

Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Tuesday witnessed 06 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 308 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 4,805.
With 06 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,316 and 308 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 315,298
Of the exact number of 315,298 cases, 195,774 are from Kashmir division and 119,524 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 308 new cases, 209 belong to Kashmir division while as 99 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 195,774 including 190,723 recoveries and 2,214 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 119,524 including 115,454 recoveries and 2,102 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,805 including 2,837 from Kashmir division and 1,968 from Jammu division.
With 493 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 306,177 which is 97,10 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 84 from Srinagar, 29 from Baramulla, 18 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 21 from Kupwara, 16 from Anantnag, 13 from Bandipora, 12 from Ganderbal, 09 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 99 from Jammu division include 12 from Jammu, 16 from Udhampur, 08 from Rajouri, 22 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 20 from Kishtwar, 10 from Poonch, 09 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis stands at 29.
Out of 06 deaths reported today, 01 died in GMC Doda, 01 in CHC Mendhar, 01 in SMHS Srinagar, 01 in GMC Anantnag, 01 in DRDO Hosp Sgr & 01 in DH Pulwama.
As per officials figures, 69,916 positive cases including 827 deaths and 68,181 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,212 including 278 deaths and 22,662 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,525 including 22,045 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 14,854 including 14,442 recoveries and 191 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,786 including 165 deaths and 13,317 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,034 including 15,550 recoveries and 200 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,292 cases including 9,031 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,579 including 9,310 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,025 including 10,709 recoveries and 115 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,551 including 5,476 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,373 including 50,64 recoveries and 1,133 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,165 including 10,942 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,694 including 10,309 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,799 including 6,430 recoveries and 113 deaths are from Doda, 9,202 including 9,011 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,059 including 6,916 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Samba, 4,455 including 4,281 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,084 including 5,756 recoveries and 91 deaths are from Poonch, 5,828 including 5,660 recoveries and 63 deaths are from Ramban and 5,865 including 5,525 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,414,634 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 17,691 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,805 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,169,410 persons have completed the surveillance period and 218,412 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,907,016 samples are available. Out of 9,907,016 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,591,718 while as 315,298 have tested positive, among them 4,805 persons are active, 306,177 persons have recovered and 4,316persons have died—(KNO)
