Recovery rate around 74 percent in UT

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Saturday recorded 532 fresh cases including 66 travelers taking the total number of Covid positive cases in the Union Territory to over 28,000. With 532 new cases, the tally of positive cases in J&K has reached 28,021 including 21,744 from Kashmir and 6,277 from Jammu division.
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that among 532 new cases, 424 belong to Kashmir division while as 108 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 21,744 including 16,031 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 6,277 including 4,645 recoveries and 41 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 6,818 including 5,227 from Kashmir division and 1,591 from Jammu division.
With 734 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 20,676 which is 73.78 percent of the total cases.
Pertinently, Srinagar district alone has 6,790 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 6,277.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 110 from Srinagar, 36 from Baramulla, 13 from Pulwama, 40 from Budgam, 39 from Anantnag, 10 from Kulgam, 11 from Shopian, 39 from Kupwara, 81 from Bandipora and 45 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 108 from Jammu division include 64 from Jammu, 02 from Rajouri, 10 from Kuthua, 04 from Udhampur, 01 from Ramban, 13 from Samba, 03 from Doda, 05 from Poonch, 05 from Reasi and 01 from Kishtiwar,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 6,790 positive cases including 171 deaths and 5,001 recoveries are from Srinagar, 2,387 including 87 deaths and 1,734 recoveries are from Baramulla, 2,029 including 1,516 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Pulwama,1,754 including 1,210 recoveries and 38 deaths are from Budgam, 1,748 including 37 deaths and 1,364 recoveries are from Anantnag, 1,698 including 1,461 recoveries and 31 deaths are from Kulgam, 1564 cases including 1,4481 and 24 deaths are from Shopian, 1,498 including 1,108 recoveries and 33 deaths are from Kupwara, 1,382 including 731 recoveries and 18 deaths are from Bandipora and 894 including 458 recoveries and 12 deaths are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 1,907 including 1,128 recoveries and 29 deaths are from Jammu district, 780 including 651 recoveries and 03 deaths are from Rajouri, 655 including 540 recoveries and 01 death are from Kuthua, 646 including 548 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Udhampur, 624 including 589 recoveries and 01 death are from Ramban, 559 including 389 recoveries and 01 death are from Samba, 334 including 292 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Doda, 321 including 229 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Poonch, 270 including 121 recoveries are from Reasi and 181 including 158 recoveries are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 411,618 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 42,074 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 6,818 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 315,666 persons have completed surveillance period and 46,533 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 785,475 samples are available.
Out of 785,475 the number of samples tested negative stands at 757,454 while 28,021 have been tested positive, among them 6,818 are active and 20,676 persons have recovered—(KNO)
