Recoveries cross 10,000 mark in UT

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Monday recorded 470 fresh cases of COVID-19 pandemic including 79 travelers taking the total number of positive cases 18390 in the UT.
With 470 new cases, the tally of positive cases in J&K has reached to 18490 including 14457 from Kashmir and 3933 from Jammu division.
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), among 470 new cases, 309 belong to Kashmir division while as 161 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 14457 including 8282 recoveries while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 3933 including 2120 recoveries and 23 deaths.
They added that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7667 including 5877 from Kashmir division and 1790 from Jammu division.
With 474 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 10402 which is 56.56 percent of the total cases which was over 63 percent a few days before.
Pertinently, Srinagar district alone has 4133 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 3933
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 132 from Srinagar, 11 from Baramulla, 23 from Kulgam, 01 from Shopian, 53 from Anantnag, 06 from Kupwara, 38 from Pulwama, 23 from Budgam, 20 from Bandipora and 02 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 161 from Jammu division include 37 from Jammu, 10 from Kuthua, 20 from Rajouri, 15 from Udhampur, 15 from Ramban, 12 from Samba, 15 from Doda, 03 from Poonch, 23 from Kishtwar and 11 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 4133 positive cases including 94 deaths and 1655 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1784 including 63 deaths and 1168 recoveries are from Baramulla, 1466 including 984 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Kulgam, 1391 including 20 deaths and 934 recoveries are from Shopian, 1229 including 21 deaths and 924 recoveries are from Anantnag, 1041 including 729 recoveries and 17 deaths are from Kupwara, 1257 including 621 recoveries and 19 deaths are from Pulwama, 1151 including 650 recoveries and 23 deaths are from Budgam, 652 including 418 recoveries and 09 deaths are from Bandipora and 351 including 199 recoveries and 06 death are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 897 including 495 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Jammu district, 475 including 315 recoveries and 01 death are from Kathua, 577 including 180 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Rajouri, 409 including 299 recoveries and 01 death are from Udhampur, 502 including 252 recoveries are from Ramban, 386 including 212 recoveries and 01 death are from Samba, 257 including 124 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Doda, 187 including 137 recoveries and 01 death are from Poonch, 129 including 51 recoveries are from Kishtwar and 114 including 55 recoveries are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 357,927 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 45,645 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 7667 persons are in hospital isolation while 12 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 264,015 persons have completed surveillance period and 40,267 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 592,482 samples are available.
Out of 592,482 the number of samples tested negative stands at 574,092 while as 18,390 have been tested positive, among them 7,667 are active and 10,402 persons have recovered—(KNO)
