Recovery rates dips to 55.69 percent in J&K.

Srinagar :Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday recorded 346 fresh Covid-19 cases that include 46 travelers and six Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel, taking the total number of positive cases in the UT to 11173.
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that among new cases that were detected in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, 117 were tested positive at SKIMS, 48 at JVC Bemina and rest at other hospitals.
Among 348 new cases, 290 belong to Kashmir division while as 56 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 8785 including 4669 recoveries and 177 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 2388 including 1554 recoveries and 18 deaths.
They added that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4755 including 3939 from Kashmir division and 816 from Jammu division.
With 128 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 6223 which is 55.59 percent of the total cases which was over 63 percent few days before.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 127 from Srinagar, 07 from Kulgam, 11 from Baramulla, 11 from Shopian, 58 from Anantnag, 03 from Kupwara, 39 from Pulwama, 14 from Budgam, 16 from Bandipora and 04 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 56 from Jammu division include 11 from Jammu,10 from Kuthua, 01 from Ramban, 10 from Rajouri, 01 from Samba, 01 from Poonch, 14 from Doda, 03 from Reasi and 05 from Kishtiwar,” officials disclosed.
Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent at SKIMS said that out of 2424 samples were tested at SKIMS on Tuesday, 117 were tested positive positive.
He said 117 patients include 34 from Srinagar, 18 from Anantnag, 16 from Pulwama, 10 from Budgam, 09 from Baramulla, 08 from Kulgam, 07 from Bandipora and 02 from Kupwara, 02 from Ganderbal, 01 each from Shopian, Kargil and Banihal.
Patients also include 2 CRPF men, 6 SSB personals, 2 cops from SIDCO Police Station and 5 from SIDCO Pulwama
Dr Reyaz Untoo, Principal at JVC Bemina told KNO that out of 540 samples tested at SKIMS Bemina (JVC) 48 all from Srinagar were tested positive. He said that cases include a 35 CRPF men and 4 from High court.
Officials from CD hospital said that new positive cases include 47 from Central Jail Anantnag and 5 CRPF men.
As per officials figures, 1933 positive cases including 46 deaths and 530 recoveries are from Srinagar, 1337 including 38 deaths and 572 recoveries are from Baramulla, 1028 including 678 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kulgam, 929 including 17 deaths and 699 recoveries are from Shopian, 860 including 15 deaths and 597 recoveries are from Anantnag, 805 including 506 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Kupwara, 701 including 372 recoveries and 07 deaths are from Pulwama, 586 including 320 recoveries and 14 deaths are from Budgam, 401 including 295 recoveries and 03 deaths are from Bandipora, 205 including 100 recoveries and 04 death are from are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 524 including 344 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Jammu district, 303 including 276 recoveries and 01 death are from Udhampur, 326 including 229 recoveries and 01 death are from Kathua, 271 including 209 recoveries are from Ramban, 285 including 93 recoveries and 01 death is from Rajouri, 269 including 144 recoveries and 01 death are from Samba, 147 including 01 death and 121 recoveries are from Poonch, 148 including 72 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Doda, 60 including 39 recoveries are from Reasi and 55 including 27 recoveries are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 317,904 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 38,211 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4755 persons are in hospital isolation while 24 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 229,182 persons have completed surveillance period and 45,537 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 466,333 samples are available.
Out of 466,333 the number of samples tested negative stands at 455,160 while as 11,173 have been tested positive, among them 4755 are active and 6223 persons have recovered and 195 persons have died—(KNO)
