Srinagar : A 55-year- old man from Tangmarg, Baramulla, who tested positive yesterday, lost his battle and died in a Srinagar hospital. This is the second death due to novel Coronavirus so far.
According to Wire Service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a doctor at the Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar said Tangmarg man succumbed this morning. The patient was kept in isolation ward after testing positive for novel Coronavirus.
He said that the deceased was brought to chest disease hospital on Saturday from Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS) and put in isolation.
This morning the Tangmarg positive case died at Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar, the doctor said. He identified the deceased as a resident of Tangmarg, Baramulla.
Meanwhile he said that the concerned chief medical officer (CMO) would come along some family members and take away the boy in proper manner.
It’s pertinent to mention here that with the second death in Kashmir the total toll number of active cases has mounted to 29 with 20 active cases in Kashmir and 9 in Jammu of already 33 positive cases across J&K.
Meanwhile, Government spokesman Rohit Kansal confirmed report “Sad start to the day. Unfortunate demise of a coronavirus patient in Srinagar this morning” said in a tweet —(KNO)
