1491 active cases, 927 recovered in J&K

Srinagar : The number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir crossed 2446 mark on Sunday as 105 fresh infections were reported on Saturday which include 16 pregnant women and a health worker.
Officials told news agency— Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that among new 105 cases that were detected in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, 21 were tested positive at SKIMS, 50 at CD hospital, 2 at JVC Bemina and rest at Army’s command hospital Udhampur besides other private labs.
Among 105 new cases, 90 belong to Kashmir division while as 15 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 1943 including 807 recoveries and 25 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached to 503 including 120 recoveries and 3 deaths.
They added that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1491 including 1111 from Kashmir division and 380 from Jammu division.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 24 from Anantnag, 17 from Kulgam, 8 from Srinagar, 11 from Budgam, 10 from Kupwara, 02 from Shopian, 15 from Baramulla, and 03 from Pulwama in Kashmir division while as 15 from Jammu include 6 from Jammu, 2 from Ramban, 3 from Kuthua, 1 from Samba district and 3 from Rajouri ,” officials disclosed.
Officials from SKIMS said that out of 734 samples tested on Sunday, 21 were tested positive. Among 21 new cases, 07 are from Srinagar, 10 from Kupwara, 03 and Anantnag and one from Shopian, they said.
Dr Salim Khan Nodal officer for coronavirus at GMC Srinagar said that out of 510 samples tested at CD hospital, 50 were tested positive.
Among 50 cases 17 are from Kulgam, 15 from Baramulla, 12 from Anantnag, 03 from Pulwama and one each from Srinagar, Shopian and Budgam, he said. Cases include 16 pregnant ladies including 10 from Baramulla, 05 from Kulgam and one from Anantnag besides a nursing orderly working at CD Hospital, he said.
Officials from JVC Bemina said that out of 384 samples tested at the hospital two including a 36 year old male from Ohangam Budgam and 27 year old male from Hyderpora were tested positive
Lt Col Inam Danish Khan said that out of 322 pooled and 288 unpooled samples tested at Army’s command hospital Udhampur in last twenty four hours, 73 were tested positive.
The positive cases include 47 from Ramban, 23 from Doda, 2 from Jammu and one from Kuthua, he said, adding that out of 22986 samples tested at the hospital so far, 342 have been tested positive and the share of positive cases is 1.49 percent.
As per officials figures 338 positive cases including five deaths and 122 recoveries are from Anantnag, 294 including four deaths and 26 recoveries are from Kulgam, 280 including s even deaths and 141 recoveries are from Srinagar, 268 including 75 recoveries are from Kupwara, 232 including 103 recoveries and five deaths are from Baramulla, 146 including 134 recoveries and one death is from Bandipora, 170 including 108 recoveries and one death from Shopian, 110 including 61 recoveries and two deaths are from Budgam, 32 including 24 recoveries are from Ganderbal and 73 including 13 recoveries are from Pulwama.
In Jammu division, 136 including 39 recoveries and two deaths are from Jammu district, 91 including 15 recoveries are from Ramban, 73 including 20 recoveries are from Kathua, 65 including 25 recoveries and one death is from Udhampur, 43 including 11 recoveries from Samba, 38 are from Poonch, 30 including 05 recoveries are from Rajouri, 14 including 03 recoveries area from Reasi, 08 including 01 recovery is from Kishtwar, 05 including 01 recovery is from Doda.
As per the daily information bulletin 172,844 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while as 35,572 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1491 persons are in hospital isolation while as 45 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 86,289 persons have completed surveillance period and 46,419 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 171,045 samples are available.
Out of 171,045 the number of samples tested negative stands at 168,599 while as 2446 have been tested positive, among them 1491 are active and 927 persons have recovered and 28 persons have died—(KNO)
