144 persons test negative, 4 positive cases in J&K so far, Two more samples taken today, sent for test: Nodal officer SKIMS
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday said more than 3000 people have been kept under observation in J&K UT while as 144 people have tested negative with four positive cases so far being reported in the UT.
As per wire-service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a senior health official while talking with wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that 3146 persons have been kept under observation in UT.
“On Monday more 344 travelers and persons have been kept under observation while as 209 more persons have been kept under home quarantine,” an official said. He further added that 56 more persons have today completed surveillance period while as six more persons were kept in hospital quarantine today.
“Besides that 11 more samples were collected today and have been sent for testing and among them three have been tested negative while as reports of eight cases are yet to come,” the official said.
Nodal Officer for Covid-19 at SKIMS DR G H Yatoo told KNO that two more persons with symptoms of Coronavirus were received today, whose samples have been sent for testing but reports are yet to come.
Now the number of patients having symptoms of Coronavirus has reached to 18, among them 15 have been tested negative, while as reports are 02 are yet to come, he added. He further said that already tested positive woman from Khanyar area having travel history of Arab has been kept in a separate room at SKIMS and all precautionary measures are being taken.
Twenty teams of doctors on Thursday conducted door to door inquiry about the locals in and around Khayyam, Khanyar area of Srinagar which is native place of elderly woman who was tested positive for Coronavirus on Wednesday, said an official of health department.
He said that team of doctors Khayam, Khanyar, Munwarabad and its adjacent areas to ascertain the facts in related to positive case of Coronavirus. He further added that all those passengers who were boarding with the lady and she had interacted since then are also being tested as a precautionary measure.
Meanwhile medical superintendent SMHS Dr Nazir Ahmad said that there is no patient at the hospital with symptoms of Coronavirus. A per the daily information bulletin, the J&K government said that 356 persons completed their surveillance period of 28 days and so far four cases have been tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the bulletin on novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 3147 travelers and persons have been put under surveillance who are in contact with suspected cases besides that 2802 persons are under home quarantine. The number of persons under home surveillance is 419 while as the persons who are in hospital quarantine stands at 34. Furthermore 144 out of 156 samples have been tested negative while as four cases have been tested positive and reports of 08 cases are yet to come—(KNO)
