SRINAGAR : A review meeting of complaints registered by the general public with JK Government Grievance cell was held under the directions of the Coordinator JKGGC Tassaduq Mufti here today.
The meeting was attended by Nodal officers from six departments of Animal Husbandry, Central University of Kashmir, University of Kashmir, Estates department, JK Waqf board and J&K Bank Ltd.
Chaired by the Deputy Secretary, the meeting was attended by various officials and JKGGC Interns. All the grievances received through the web portalwww.jkgrievance.nic.in, helpline number and other social mediums were discussed threadbare.
The redressed as well as pending public grievances were discussed and their quality of disposal was analyzed.
Furthermore, the nodal officers of different departments especially Kashmir University were directed to have ramps for specially-abled persons. KU was pressed to redress the grievances related to library, delay in examination results, smoking, prowling of dogs, water shortage and the parking issues inside the campus.
Establishment of ATM’s at far off places, short-listing of Class IV candidates and other grave issues were a key concern in the meeting. The quick redressal of the complaints was widely emphasised.
