If CM says killings won’t resolve Kashmir why do killings continue: KTMF

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturing Federation (KTMF) president Muhammad Yasin Khan expressing serious concern over civilian killings in South Kashmir’s Shopian.

While talking to Press Trust of Kashmir Yasin Khan said that such death of dance cannot facilitate restoration of peace. “If Chief Minister says that killings won’t resolve Kashmir why do killings continue to take place,” Khan asked.

He added that the killing spree in South Kashmir is responsible for deteriorating situation and Govt cannot escape the responsibility of loss of lives.

He further added that Govt must take measure to stop bloodshed to ensure safety of innocent people. He said security agencies must introspect that why people risk their lives and feel their lives more insecure at the hands of security forces than the militants”.

Yasin Khan further said it is disgraceful that the forces first kill Kashmiris and then don’t allow even to mourn their murders.

Yasin Khan further PTK that Chief Ministers, Mehbooba Mufti Should understand why civilian killing go unabated in Kashmir valley. He said that government has failed to0 restore peace.

He added that if security forces are well aware of the fact that the civilian killing triggers unrest in valley, the why they are not preventing it.

He further told PTK , “I fail to understand why government has not been able to put a halt to such senseless killings happening in Shopian. It is therefore imperative that those involved in spreading fear and perpetrating atrocities among masses be exposed and brought to book”.

He added that violence has consumed an entire generation in the Valley and continues to devour our people. He said that we always believe espoused the path of dialogue and believes that it’s the only way forward in resolving the vexed issue of Kashmir. We reiterate our commitment to work towards resolving the political issue in Jammu and Kashmir and create an atmosphere of peace, justice and tranquility,” he said. (PTK)
