Srinagar: Putting a question mark on working of grievance cell, the district administration in Baramulla has failed to issue the list of Class IV candidates.
The district administration in Baramulla seems to be accountable to none as it failed to issue the list hanging fire from last twelve long years.
In last week of July this year, the district administration Baramulla issued a statement, stating that “all the requisite procedures have been completed and the selection list will be made by August 2.”
“Due to frequent movement of VIPs in the district, the concerned authorities remained busy in transacting official activities and as such list could not be issued, ” read the statement.
Earlier the District administration Baramulla passed wrong information to the grievance cell of the government regarding the publishing of the final list of candidates for class IV.
In June this year, some candidates, who applied for Class 4th post in 2006 (under advertisement number 04/DDC of 2006, dated 18-10-2006), had submitted the complaint in government’s grievance cell that 12 years have passed but the district administration Baramulla has failed to publish the selection list of candidates after several rounds interviews.
The grievance cell sought the report from Director Planning Baramulla on 1st July 2018, who informed the grievance cell that list will be published by or before July 15. However, nearly a month has passed but the list has not been issued.
When contacted, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla listened to a query by GNS in this regard and dropped the call. He did not respond to subsequent calls either.
Meanwhile, the aspirants urged Governor N N Vohra to intervene in the matter and take action so that officials are made accountable. (GNS)
