Urges controlling circle officers to work on awareness of farmers

Sumbal : In a first ,Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhari Mohammad Iqbal today visited Seed farm sumbal to take stock of facilities being provided to the farmers.
While interacting with local young farmers, Worthy Director highlighted important aspects of modern farming.He said that by adopting new innovative techniques farmers can double their household income besides provide better service to the society as well.He said that Govt of India has introduces welfare schemes for the farmers and now insurance and pension schemes during twilight days has become a reality.
Chairman Citizen welfare forum sonawari Haji Syed Sajad while welcoming worthy Director ,said that it is encouraging rather inspirational that an officer holding highest position in the department has come here to spend his Sunday with farmers.He appreciated department for having such a great interactive Programme today and urged upon all farmer’s to come and take advantage of modern scientifical seed farming.He however said that local unit/circle officers need to conduct awareness programmes so that people mainly farmers get every single information about government schemes.He appealed worthy Director to organise more interactive sessions with farmers in both hajin and sumbal circles so that production is increased.He said that there should be no favouritism in distribution of subsidised products and every single farmer should be provided products for which he appealed worthy Director to increase budget for the purchase of different important equipments/articles important for farming.
