Srinagar : The Government of India has extended the tenure of lawyer Vishal Sharma as assistant solicitor general of India for a period of three years for the Jammu wing of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court.
In an order, the Union Ministry of Law & Justice has issued an order to extend the tenure of Vishal Sharma by a period of three years.
“With reference to this Department’s earlier order No. J-11014/1/2017- Judicial (Part-1) dated 03.01.2019 regarding engagement of Shri Vishal Sharma, advocate as assistant solicitor general of India for the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir at Jammu, the President is pleased to extend his tenure beyond the date of expiry of his earlier term i.e. 02.01.2022 for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever, is earlier,” reads the order.
Vishal, who started practicing in J&K High Court in 1997, has also served as additional advocate general of Jammu & Kashmir government—(KNO)
