Bandipora : Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in twin villages of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday morning.
Reports reaching KNO said that a joint team of government forces including army’s 13 RR, Jammu and Kashmir police’s counter insurgency force and other paramilitary forces launched cordon and search operation in Suderkoot bala village of the Bandipora district today morning.
Meanwhile, security forces have also launched cordon and search operation in Koota sathri sumlar village of the district.
An official told KNO that the CASO was launched by a joint team of Army’s 14 RR special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir police.
Reports added whole area has been cordoned off and door-to-door searches are underway in the area.
Official sources also confirmed the both incident and said that the cordon was launched following inputs about the movement of some suspected militants.
The search operation in the twin villages were going on when the last reports came in.
It is pertinent to mention here that a gunfight was broke out on Thursday afternoon between millitants and Government forces in Dangerpora village of sopore in which two local millitants were killed.(KNO)
