SRINAGAR: In a major blow to the people’s Democratic Party, the senior PDP leaders, Basharat Bukhari and Molvi Imran Raza Ansari has submitted their resignation from the cabinet soon after today cabinet reshuffle and induction of new ministers.
Basharat was assigned for the portfolio of Horticulture as the departments under him were shifted today. Bukhari said that he has given all the reasons of his resignation to the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti.
Meanwhile Ansari who is Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports has resigned from the cabinet. According to sources he also submitted his resignation in the evening.
Sources close to Ansari confirmed about the development and said that “he submitted his resignation at around 4:30.” Sources added that there are some personnel reason behind the Ansari’s resignation.
Pertinently both Bukhari and Ansari were the cabinet ministers right from the day PDP-BJP led coalition came into existence in March 2015 .
