Jammu: Police on Thursday issued rebuttal regarding a report circulated on social media that bovine smugglers were killed in firing incident.In a statement the police said that today a news in some media groups is in circulation regarding firing by Police upon bovine smugglers at Naka Nud in district Samba. This news is totally baseless and not based on facts. No firing incident took place. The police spokesman further stated that the fact is that bovine smugglers in a speedy car, broke the Police Naka at Nud, critically injured a Police Official and fled away from the spot.After hundreds meters away from the naka point, bovine smugglers lost control of the vehicle and fell down into gorge resulting in the death of two bovine smugglers on the spot and one injured.
