Bandipora : Three residential houses were damaged in a fire incident at Kuloosa area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on monday afternoon, leaving five families shelterless.
An official told that the fire broke out from one of the houses in Ganae Mohalla locality and rapidly spread to the neighbouring houses resulting in damage of three residential houses in the incident.
“Fire tenders promptly arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames, and after strenuous efforts, the fire was brought under control,” he said, adding that the mishap caused significant damage to property worth lakhs.
He further said that the cause of the fire was not immediately known. “Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or injuries resulting from the incident,” the official added.
The houses belonging to Gh Mohammad, son of Gh Ahmad Ganaie, Manzoor Ahmed, son of Gh Ahmad Ganaie, Manzoor Iqbal, son of Gh Rasool Ganaie, Akhter Hussain, son of M Akbar Ganaie, and Akbar, son of M Ramzan Ganaie, were damaged in the fire incident—(KNO)
