SRINAGAR: BJP has started preparations for the assembly elections in Kashmir valley. BJP is concentrating more on the areas of the state than it did not get better results in the last election.
In this sequence, BJP is particularly interested in its efforts to strengthen its reach in the Kashmir Valley. Between them all, BJP has achieved a big success. One lakh new members have been formed in the Kashmir Valley in the party’s campaign being played in different districts of the state.
Senior leader associated with the party said that on 15th August all BJP panchayat heads will hoist the flag in their respective villages. In order to maintain law and order in the state, additional deployment of security forces has been done.
BJP did not win a single seat in Kashmir in the last Lok Sabha elections. The number of BJP members in Kashmir has also been negligible. But things are changing now.
For the first time in more than 6 thousand people in any Assembly constituency, people have subscribed to BJP. This is a record in itself. BJP has run membership campaign all over the country.
The BJP campaign in Jammu and Kashmir started on 7th July, which will run until 11th August. After the end of the Amarnath Yatra in the state, the activities of the election are likely to accelerate. (PTK)
