In view of Coronavirus fear, Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu and Kashmir (JKBJP) Thursday said that they have postponed ‘Nuw Sanzh’ program and new dates for the event would be announced later.
BJP J&K General Secretary (Org.) Sh. Ashok Koul said due to Coronavirus fear, they have cancelled public reach-out program ‘Nuv Sanz’ in Kashmir.
“The program was expected to began from 15th March across Valley but due to the Coronavirus they have postponed the said program,” Sh. Ashok Koul said.
He said party stands with the people at this critical stage and hailed the efforts of administration to combat the deadly virus.
Earlier the the party leadership held a meeting at party office and decided to cancel all mass programs till further orders.
“The outreach was aimed to resolve pending issues of people and stating that previous government regimes had failed resolve those problems,” Sh. Ashok Koul said.
He said experts across the world have advised to reduce public gatherings to avoid the spread of Coronavirus. The party has decided not to participate in any ‘outreach program, Sh. Ashok Koul added.
On the occasion, Kashmir media in-charge, Manzoor Bhat said that coronavirus is infectious, therefore, protection is more important than treatment.
He said party leadership has appealed people of Jammu and Kashmir to refrain from attending mass functions.
