BJP leader’s mother dies in road accident, sister critical

Bandipora: Mother of BJP district president Bandipora, Sheikh Waseem Bari was killed while sister critically injured in a road accident in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir today.

Bari’s mother Neelofar Begum and sister Gousia Islam were critically injured when the car (JK04-5200) they were travelling in collided with a truck (JK07- 4014) near Barsoo in Ganderbal this morning, officials told Kashmir Reader.

The injured mother-daughter duo were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. However, the doctors there referred them to SKIMS Soura.

Neelofar Begum succumbed to her injuries at the hospital while the condition of her daughter is said to be critical, officials added.
