Srinagar : At a time when BJP and its right wing organization is demanding annulment of state holiday on July 13, a party leader from Kashmir Fayaz Ahmed Bhat Friday paid floral tributes to July 13 Martyrs.
Fayaz Ahmed Bhat who is also the Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peace Foundation visited Martrys Graveyard located at Naqashband Saheb in downtown Srinagar and paid tributes to July 13, 1931 Martyrs. He was accompanied by Moulana Syed Tariq Naqashi President Ullamah Forum and others.
Fayaz Ahmed Bhat said the sacrifices of the people led to the formation of a democratic government in 1947. He appealed to the people to extend the fullest cooperation in achieving a long-lasting and dignified peace all over the globe.
He also urged the people to work towards restoring the bond of peace, brotherhood and prosperity all over globe and prayed for the peace of the state. (CNS)
