Srinagar : Suspected militants on Sunday morning shot at and critically injured a man affiliated to BJP in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official told news agency KDC that the militants fired upon a BJP district president for other backward classes (OBC), identified as Abdul Hamid Najar (38) son of late Mohammad Jamal Najar resident of Ompora Mehendipora area of Budgam district.
He said, militants fired upon him near railway station Ompora when he was on morning walk, leaving him critically injured.
He has recieved bullet injuries in abdomen and has been shifted to SMHS hospital in critical conditions for treatment. He said adding that whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(KDC)
