BJP distances itself from complaint registered against deputy Mayor Srinagar

Srinagar : The BJP State secretary, Ashok Koul on Sunday distanced itself from the complaint registered against Deputy Mayor Srinagar Sheikh Imran.

Talking to KNO, Koul said the party has nothing to do with the complaint registered against the Deputy Mayor.
“It is there personal issue and party has no role in it,” he told KNO.

Earlier, a BJP leader from Kashmir reportedly registered a complaint against Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation for allegedly harassing a businessman.

The complaint was been registered by BJP Election Incharge for Kashmir and Vice President Asif Iqbal Masoodi at police station Parimpora here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

In the complaint, it has been alleged that Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sheikh Imran and some Councillors are harassing a businessman, Ajaz Ahmed.

However, Koul said the complaint has not been filed at party level. “We extend our full support to Mayor and deputy Mayor Srinagar,” he told KNO (KNO)
