SRINAGAR: All Jammu and Kashmir students union (AJKSU) along with students from all colleges on Monday held a Massive protest demonstrations against incident which happened in GDC pulwama alleging that student were attacked with teargas shells to scatter them by holding peaceful protest.
In a statement issued, AJKSU said that it has now became a war in between” Pens vs pellets ” and “Books vs bullets”.
“Security Forces used tear smoke shells against protesting students at Srinagar, Shopian, Sopore, Anantnag and Kulgam and baramulla college in which hundreds of students injured”.AJKSU said.
AJKSU President Syed Tajamul Imran strongly condemned the Forces action in which Students sustained injuries, Tajamul said it is inhuman and barbaric act. Tajamul said students where not having any arms in their hands they were holding play cards what is wrong with that .He demanded strict action against the Soldiers without any further delay involved in GDC Pulwama incident, and students who has been detained by police should be released immediately.
Tajamul Imran said thatit has now became a war in between” Pens vs pellets ” and “Books vs bullets”.Tajamul said that Govt has turned spring bloom into red and they have been failed in every aspect.
Junaid dar and Javed Nabi Vice president and General secretary of union in joint statement said that Using Quell forces to quell the students who where demanding their rights is sheer injustice with the students.
They said that Incident which happened today in several college have terrorised student community. Soldiers involved in these Atrocities, crimes should be strictly dealt, otherwise this will adversely affect the system they added.
Using pellets and teargas shells against students in a colleges is sheer brutality on part of the largest democracy and is highly deplorable.
Add. Spokesman of union Nasir Khuehami said that there is no connection between the forces and the educational institutes but despite that the forces has entered in the Degree College and have beaten the students there.
“The educational institutions must not become the political hub,” he said. “Those responsible for the incident and beating of students must be punished,” he demanded.
