Bandipora : A government middle school in Nasoou area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has been deprived of water connectivity for the last one year, forcing the students and teachers to consume water from open and unhygienic sources, locals complained on Thursday.
They accuse the administration of failing to address this basic issue and told that the students and teachers in the school are facing immense hardships due to the non-availability of water facility despite having brought the issue to the notice of the concerned officials.
“By using water from unhygienic sources, there are high chances that the students will be affected due to the water which is full of impurities,” they said while urging the administration to provide the piped water to the said school.
The residents have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to look into the matter and resolve their “genuine” grievance at the earliest—(KNO)
