Srinagar: Two consecutive earthquakes have struck the region of Jammu and Kashmir early this morning, with tremors felt across both India and Pakistan. The earthquakes, which are estimated to have a magnitude of 4.6, occurred around 6:52 AM IST, with the epicenter likely located in North Kashmir, approximately 11 kilometers from Sopore.
The tremors were felt in several areas including Swat, Muzaffarabad, Kargil, Ardan, and Abbottabad, causing panic among residents. However, as of now, no loss of life has been reported. Local authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and further details are expected as assessments continue.
