Rohit Kansal inaugurates 1×10 MVA 33/11 kV Station at Nusoo, Bandipora
Bandipora : Principal Secretary to Government, Power Development Department,J&K, Rohit Kansal,IAS, Saturday inaugurated 1×10 MVA 33/11 kV Station at Nusoo in Bandipora giving major push to strengthen power sector in the district, as a part of activities under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahatsov.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad, IAS, MD, KPDCL Basharat Qayoom,IAS, MD JKPDC Raja Yaqoob, Chief Engineer Projects, CGM (PFC) SS Rao, Consultat PFC Mazhar ul Haque K ha, Manager PR PFC Gaurav Anand, SE Projects North, SE O&M North and other senior officers .
33/11 kV Station at Nusoo, Bandipora is one among the two new 33/11 kV Stations in District Bandipora under centrally sponsored Scheme-IPDS. The work on the station was started in April 2021 and was cleared by TTIC Wing of PDD in the month of June 2021.
Speaking on the occasion Rohit Kansal said owing to growing power demand of District Bandipora in general and Town and adjoining areas in particular, an additional 33/11 kV Station was required to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to Bandipora Town and adjoining areas.
The total Station Cost including 33kV Incoming and 11kV Outgoing is Rs. 3.94 Cr. The station has the Incoming 33KV Line – 33kV Bandipora – PotshahiLine from Potshahi Grid while outgoing feeders include 11kV Feeders – Nishat Feeder (6732 kVA) and Papchan Feeder (6345 kVA).
The grid station will connect 3062 consumers including 2572 Domestic and 490 Commercial. The station will relieve Ajar 33/11 KV station from the over burden.
Kansal said the construction of the new grid station was a long cherished demand of the people of Bandipora as the area witnessed frequent load shedding owing to over burden on Ajar receiving station. He said the commissioning of Nussu station has fulfilled their long pending demand and will help in a big way to streamline the transmission and distribution of power in the district.
He said that the Government of J&K is aiming to achieve the larger goal of self-sufficiency in the Power sector and stressed on putting concerted efforts towards achieving medium term target of providing reliable power supply to the consumers with less power curtailment.
