Srinagar : Khalida Shah, the daughter of former Prime Minister erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State on Monday said, that Article 370 and 35a granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir was always an eyesore for the ruling party. She said this without naming BJP.

Khalida Shah, President Awami National Conference (ANC), according to news gathering Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC) was addressing media persons at her residence M.A Road Srinagar. She said that Article 370 is a fundamental right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir which was granted to them by the tallest Indian leaders which include leaders of the statures of Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

She said, “The whole world knows how this right was snatched from Kashmiris in just one night and one stroke”.

This step has not only impacted Kashmiris but the whole India as well, which is evident from the fact that how China has reacted to it, she said, adding that China is now encroaching our territory in Ladakh while claiming that it is Chinese territory.

She said, this all situation has come about because of the intransigence of the ruling dispensation which has unlawfully scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir

She said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are disappointed with the Center’s decision and have resolved to fight this illegal decision till it is revoked and Jammu and Kashmir is restored to its position which it enjoyed before 5th August 2019”.

“Gupkar declaration is the common sentiment of the people of the state and it is only some paid agents which h are on the side of the Central government”, she added.

Khalida Shah said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are together in this endeavor and we will not sit back till we achieve our goal. (KDC)
