POONCH: Police have cracked the case of death of a soldier due to bullet injuries in Poonch with the arrest of another soldier for his involvement in the alleged murder.

“We have arrested Army soldier Lance Naik Sukh Pal Singh of 16 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in connection with alleged murder of his colleague Sepoy Balraj Singh in an army camp in Draba belt of Surankot tehsil of the district on March 9,” a police official said.
A case was registered against him for murder in Police Station Surankote, he said.

Sepoy Balraj was found dead under suspicious circumstances with several bullet injuries in Draba belt of the district on March 9 and police commenced investigation into the case. (Agencies)
