SRINAGAR: An Army soldier and a nine-year-old girl were killed in the fresh cross border firing between Indian and Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district on Monday.
Reports said that army soldier and a nine-year-old girl were killed as Pakistani troops resort to shelling in areas along LOC in Poonch.
The army soldier identified as Mudassir Ahamad, was hailing from Tral area of Pulwama district. Both sides exchanged heavy shelling first in Rajouri and then in Poonch districts along the LoC.
Reports also said that after heavy cross border shelling Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan talks over the hotline early today.
