Recovered items seem to very old, similar to 90’s, say officials
Handwara: The Jammu and Kashmir police Thursday said it has jointly unearthed a militant hideout and have recovered incriminating material from wader Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to Wire Service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said that in a joint operation of 21 RR, 92 BN CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police unearthed arms and ammunitions from fields in Wader Handwara.
They said that based on credible inputs forces jointly have recovered arms and ammunition from a dump of fields during a search operation in Wader Handwara.
He said that incriminating material has been recovered and a case FIR number 64/2020 under relevant sections stands registered at police station Handwara and future probe into the matter is underway. A top police official also confirmed and said that the recovered arms and ammunition seems to be too old that of 90s not of recent times—(KNO)
