Srinagar: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi, Grand Mufti of Jammu & Kashmir. Raina has conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
In a condolence message the APSCC Chairman said that the deceased lady was very pious and upright. The deceased was the wife of Bashir-ud-din Farooqi, former Grand Mufti of Jammu & Kashmir.
Raina said that the entire Mufti family has always remained concerned about the safety and security of the minorities especially minority Sikh community. He said the family has always been at the forefront of fostering brotherhood and compassion among the people of Kashmir irrespective of the religion they belonged to.
