Srinagar: worries for future of Kashmiri youth, a group of young members from ‘Kashmir Youth Power’, an NGO based in Srinagar held a peaceful protest here at Press Enclave on Friday.
And raises voices for future generations. Although they appreciated the role of Jammu and Kashmir police but still needs more to be done and demands to look at the issue very seriously. The NGO while protesting, raised slogans against the drug abuse Dealers and urges the administration to ban the cigarettes, wine shops and other kinds of drugs to save the youth from this drug menace
The protesters were holding placards and banners carrying messages like ‘say no to drugs’, ‘Life Does Not Rewind’ and ‘save the youth.’
The demonstration was staged to raise the issue of alarming use of drugs by the youngsters which is snatching precious lives in every corner of the valley.
“We request all the parents to sit with their children and counsel them at home as nobody can counsel children better than their parents,” said Mudasir Aziz bhat. President of an NGO.
He also said that unemployment is the main cause of bad habits. Govt should generate such job policy in which youth can accommodate themselves and remains aways from drug abuse.
The protesters requested the Governor Satya Pal Malik, to take strict action against those involved in drug smuggling.
