“Not informed yet about joint meeting”: Karra
Srinagar: Ahead of the budget session of the J&K Assembly, the Congress party has scheduled a meeting of its legislature party on March 2 in Jammu.In a letter, the party’s chief whip and MLA Bandipora, Nizamuddin Bhat, invited all MLAs to attend the meeting on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the party headquarters in Jammu.
“Ahead of the upcoming assembly budget session, the high command of the J&K unit of the Indian National Congress has desired to convene a meeting of party legislators. All Honourable members of the Congress legislature party are requested to ensure their presence at the meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 2, at 2:00 PM at the Congress party headquarters, Jammu,” reads the letter.
As previously reported, the National Conference (NC) has also scheduled its legislature party meeting around the same time at the Chief Minister’s official residence on Wazarat Road, Jammu.
Meanwhile, Congress leadership stated that they have not been officially informed by the National Conference about any joint meeting of legislators of the ruling alliance.
“We have not been informed about it yet,” said Pradesh Congress Committee president and MLA Central Shalteng, Tariq Hamid Karra, when asked whether any joint meeting of the ruling allies has been scheduled ahead of the budget session—(KNO)
