SRINAGAR: Senior NC leader Akbar Lone while reacting over the present situation in Kashmir today said that the failure of State government has led to the worsening of situation.
He told PTK, that the Government should take steps to resolve the long pending Kashmir issue between the two important nuclear countries of South Asia which is imperative.
He added that the new generation has anger against the forces which led them to stone pelting activities. He said that Mehbooba Mufti don’t care about education system. He added that they don’t care about education that is why we have seen before schools open they were closed. He said be it the state or central government both have failed to handle situation in Kashmir. He added they never felt the pain of Kashmires.
He said that the frequent closure of school shows failure of the government. He said that the two countries have to soften their stand to find an everlasting solution to the 70-year-old Kashmir issue.
He added that in this climate, the people of Kashmir are the primary victims of any escalation, diplomatic or military, between India and Pakistan. “Not only are thousands of people forced to abandon their livelihoods and the education of their children, but it inflicts psychological wounds on generations which no medicine can cure”, he said.
He added that a continued failure to address growing political alienation in Kashmir goes against the interests of the people. He said that only solution to all these problems is resolution of Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of its people at the earliest as any delay could lead to disastrous consequences.
He added that the Central and State governments must take steps so that conducive atmosphere is created for solving the vexed issue once for all. (PTK)
