Srinagar: The 56th Mahayagya Divas was celebrated with great fervor and devotion in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar, drawing a large number of devotees from the Kashmiri Pandit community.
The annual event, held to honor Bhagwaan Gopinath’s consciousness, saw active participation and heartfelt celebrations.
As per the details gathered by the sacred occasion began with the Hawan ceremony, which commenced at 8:00 PM on the 7th of June.
The following day, the Puran Ahuti took place at 12:30 PM, culminating in the distribution of Prashad at 1:00 PM.
This year’s event was graced by the presence of Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, who paid a visit to the celebrations, adding to the significance of the occasion.
He was warmly welcomed by the community members, who expressed their gratitude for his support and participation.
A devotee, Amit Koul, shared his thoughts on the event, saying, “Mahayagya Divas is a time for us to come together and reinforce our faith and unity. It’s heartening to see such a large turnout, and the presence of Chief Secretary Dulloo made this year even more special.”
Another attendee, Rakesh Pandit, remarked, “this annual celebration is a reminder of our rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions. It’s a blessing to be part of such a pious gathering.”—(KNO)
