Injured Former Sarpanch Succumbs

Srinagar: A former Sarpanch who was attacked by terrorists in South Kashmir’s Shopian district late this evening succumbed to his injuries.

A top police officer told that terrorists fired upon Ex sarpanch Aijaz Ahamd Shikeh of Hirpora Shopian and injured him critically, however he succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

He said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

Pertinently, In another terrorist attach two Jaipur couples including a female were injured in Yanner area of South Kashmir’s Ananthnag district, both the injured were evaluated to hospital for advanced treatment. (KS)
