Pattan: The five-day “Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp (Phase III)” organized by AICTE and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell concluded on a high note today, May 3rd, 2024, at SSM College of Engineering, Divar Parihaspora, Pattan, District Baramulla, Kashmir, J&K (UT).
The valedictory function witnessed the distribution of mementos and certificates among esteemed guests, expert speakers, and participants. Prof. (Dr.) M.A. Shah, Head of the Department of Physics at NIT Srinagar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Elangovan Kariappan, Assistant Innovation Director at the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, was the Guest of Honour. Senior functionaries and HODs of the College also graced the event with their presence.
Prior to the valedictory function, a panel of expert judges evaluated thirteen innovative ideas pitched by student groups from across the country. The panel comprised experts from NIT Srinagar, MSME, University of Kashmir, and local experts from Wadhwani Foundation.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Guest commended SSM College of Engineering for their excellent arrangements as the Nodal Centre for IDE Boot Camp Phase-III. He emphasized the importance of hosting such events regularly to nurture a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
Dr. Sajad Hussain Din, Principal of SSM College of Engineering, expressed gratitude on behalf of the College Management during his vote of thanks.
The successful conclusion of IDE Bootcamp Phase-III underscores the commitment towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, paving the way for a brighter future.
