SRINAGAR: Peoples from different areas of sub division Beerwha area of central Kashmir Budgam today complained about the non availability of sugar at the ration depots.
They said that the ration depots are running without this essential commodity adding that no one from the authorities is looking to addresses the issue.
“Most of the card holders here not received their quota from last three months” a consumer said.
They said that they are being compelled to buy sugar on high rates from market due to non availability at the depots of consumer affairs and public distribution (CAPD) Department.
They said that many areas in the subdivision like Beerwha, Chewdara, Gondipora, Hokhlitri, Rathsun and other adjacent villages are facing sugar shortage from the past three months.
When contacted Tehsildar of the area, he said that the supply will be distribute in next week to the ration depots adding that the shortage will be resolved. (PTK)
