SRINAGAR: All JKPSC lecturers Association held a state level Convention on 11th of December 2017 in the auditorium of historical SP Model Higher Secondary School Srinagar.
The convention was attended by a large chunk of directly recruited lecturers. Young officers in one voice hailed the revolutionary measures taken by the present government especially Super 50 Programme and winter tutorials.
The employees friendly attitude of Honble Education Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari , Commissioner Secretary Education and Director School Education Kashmir was appreciated by one and all.
The issues confronting the fraternity which came under discussion include grant of running grade, restoration of 40% quota in Higher Education Department, Removal of pay anomaly, Abolition of national effect in light of Supreme Court (Suraj Prakash Gupta) judgement, regularisation of Incharge lecturers, principals and CEOs.
Mr Mansoor Ahmad Khan who presided over the convention, in his speech impressed upon lecturers to work with zeal and zest and give primary importance to teaching. He also promised that the association will succeed in resolving the long pending problems of +2 lecturers.
Other lecturers who spoke on the occasion include Dr Nazim Mir, Zaffar Mushtaq Bhat, Qazi Syed Sajjad, Shahnawaz Malik, Irfan Mughal, Dr Bilal, Mohammad Shafi Mir, Kaiser Shafi Shah and Khursheed Ahmad Rather.
Other core members who attended the convention include John Mohammad Bhat, Irshad Ahmad Bhat, Hilal Ahmad Rather, Mudasir Kaleem, Farooq Ahmad Pandit, Basharat Ahmad, Khursheed Alam, Bilal Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Ashraf and many others.
