Jammu : The Army’s canine detected an anti personnel mine along the Line of Control (LoC) in Manjakote sector of Rajouri on Saturday.
the Canine Alvin along with the handler showing high standards of training and skills detected an anti personnel mine, which was drifted near a track along LOC fence in Manjakote sector.
With the detection of the anti personnel mine, a major tragedy has been averted.
The fresh incident came just a day after troops recovered a drone carrying payload in Beri Pattan area of Sunderbani, Rajouri.
The army said that 5 AK magazines, 131 rounds of AK-47, some slings, and Rs 2 lakh cash had been seized from the payload.
Following the recovery, the security forces launched a major search operation in the entire area.
Earlier on April 9, the army killed an intruder and nabbed two others after they crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in the Pir Panjal valley’s Poonch district. The army also recovered three bags with 14 packets of narcotics weighing approximately 17 kg, Pakistan currency, some documents and eatables.
