Ensure Doodhganga encroachment drive won’t harm business community: KTA urges Admin

Srinagar: Kashmir Traders Alliance (KTA) has urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure that encroachment drive should not harm the business interest of the trading community.
In a statement President KTA, Aijaz Shahdhar said that since the administration has announced encroachment drive under smart city project, which has created panic among business community particularly among those whose business establishments are situated in the areas where drive is to be launched.
” Our traders have already witnessed a turbulent times before, now these encroachment drives are putting salt into their wounds, he said adding that government must start drive from its officials first and investigate their role on allowing encroachments.
” What is the fault of a trader if he purchases a shop in any area, because he has invested his hard earned money, it’s the responsibility of officials to see whether the structure is coming on government land,” he said.
Shahdhar appealed the administration to adopt lenient approach towards business community.
