SRINAGAR: State Congress Chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir while commenting on the abrogation of Article 35A said that the responsibility to safeguard it is on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who provided an opportunity to BJP in the government.
He told PTK that the BJP is trying to scrap special status of the Jammu & Kashmir using CM Mehbooba. He said the stand of the opposition is clear to fight on ground against any such move. Mir told PTK that the officially BJP has parted ways from the issue adding that it is responsibility of Mehbooba to make them clear their stand in the interest of state.
He said that the opposition will go to all regions to make them aware about the consequences of abrogation of this article. “People don’t have information about the Article 35A. We have to aware them. The people of Jammu & Ladakh region have to face more loss if it is abrogated”.
He said everyone has to stand above party politics for its safeguard. “Article 35A is the strength of Article 370”, he adds.
