How to register ; Vaccination for 15-18 age group

Children aged between 15 to 18 years can now get vaccination for Covid-19. Starting from January 1, registrations are now available for everyone who is 15 years and older. Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin is the only Covid-19 vaccine approved so far in India for those below 18 years.

Here’s how you teenagers can register for vaccine and what to remember.

You can register online on CoWin platform

Beneficiaries can register for vaccines both online using an existing CoWin account or creating a new account using phone number. Do note that you can register for Covid-19 vaccine by visiting the CoWin website — http://cowin.gov.in. The CoWin app on Play Store is only for administrators. Alternatively, you can register yourself via the Aarogya Setu app and other certified third-party apps. Walk-in registration is also available.

Students can register using their school ID card

CoWin allows children the option to use their school photo ID card as the identification document. Other options include Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN, Unique Disability ID (Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities) and Ration Card with Photo

Parents can register for their children through their CoWin account

CoWin allows every person to register for up to four people under one phone number. This means that parents can register for their children using their ID details.

You can check vaccination centres around you on CoWin website

Always get the vaccination from the government-certified vaccination facilities. You can find your nearest vaccination centre at https://www.cowin.gov.in/ by entering details including state, district and PIN code.
