Srinagar: Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) has expressed its sorrow and grief over the demise of well known Islamic scholar and head of Dawat Tableeg Peer Shams ud din.
In a statement, AIP spokesperson has said that the deceased had a great contribution in building the nation morally and has all way believed in peace and brotherhood among society.
Pir Shamsuddin was a spiritual leader and the founder of Dawat Tableeg in district Kupwara. He has preached for Islamic teachings at the grassroot level. Pir Shamsuddin had the honor to establish the legacy of islamic scholars in frontier district Kupwara.
The others who expressed their condolences include party general secretary Prince Parvez Shah, Ishtiyaq Qaderi, Sheeban Ishai, Parvez Jamal, Showkat Zargar, Nazir Ahmad Moon, DDC Khursheed Dar, BDC Showkat Pandit, Tahir Mir and Mir Bashir.
